ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday questioned how a charter jet was allowed at Nur Khan airbase.
While hearing a petition seeking removal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s friend’s name from the blacklist, Justice Aamer Farooq IHC judge questioned how a charter jet was allowed for personal purposes.
Justice Farooq questioned a representative of the Ministry of Defence if the airbase could be employed for private use.
To this, the representative responded that he was only informed to appear before the court last night and had not received the copy of the filed petition.
Earlier, Zifi Bukhar had been barred from travelling abroad on June 11, when he was leaving Pakistan with Khan to perform Umrah.
Earlier last week interim interior minister had admitted to have allowed Bukhari to travel abroad on a one-time permission.
Earlier, Sikandar Bashir Mohmand, Bukhari’s counsel had previously argued that his client was a British National who had left to perform Umrah along with his friend Imran on a special flight from Nur Khan Airbase.
