PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif ‘is not being pushed into a narrow-alley, but is on his way to Adiala jail’.
“Nawaz Sharif is not being pushed into a narrow-alley. He is on his way to Adiala jail and PTI will form government in the general elections 2018,” Imran said while addressing a ceremony at Peshawar chief minister house.
Continuing his jabs at the PML-N leaders, Imran said that the amount of ‘loans Nawaz and Shehbaz have taken are the highest in the history of the country’. He added that the amount of financial resources lost in Metro projects could have been used to construct two hospitals like the Shaukat Khanum.
The PTI chief added that when the party is elected to power, it will engineer FATA-KP merger and that the PTI will ensure the FATA amendments are implemented.
Imran further said that he will hold a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and that he will request the army chief to reduce check posts in FATA. The PTI chief added that he will also raise the issue of missing persons when he meets Gen Bajwa.
